At the heart of any modern engine test facility is the control and instrumentation system to monitor the engine under test, and provide the operator full control over the test process.

For over 30 years ASE has provided control and instrumentation systems to meet the needs of all modes of engine testing. ASE was a pioneer in supplying computerized control and instrumentation systems, and has supplied over 125 computerized engine control systems since first introduced by ASE in 1973. Since 1973 ASE has continuously upgraded and provided new computerized control and instrumentation systems. And today, ASE has the latest, most modern design of engine control and instrumentation systems; the ASE2000.

Acoustic Control

One of the key elements of any test cell design is to keep the jet engine noise from reaching the surrounding neighborhood. ASE has developed and continues to develop cost effective solutions to achieve this goal. Using a combination of airflow control and  passive silencers ASE has been able to achieve effective noise control to meet even the most stringent local requirements.

ASE engineers have a multitude of tools to assist in the design of acoustic solutions including computer models, associations with worldwide educational research institutions, and our own acoustic test laboratory with acoustic data collection capabilities.  Solutions for infrasound and far field acoustics can be explored at our FluiDyne Aerotest Laboratory using scale model simulations of potential test cell configurations.
