ASE has a full range of capabilities to meet all your test cell needs. From consulting engineering to custom manufacturing to your designs to full turnkey projects, ASE is your choice.
ASE’s staff of engineers and designers can provide you with design solutions to all your test cell needs. Our staff is fully versed and experienced for advanced test cell solutions. Plant layout, facility design, structural and machine design, airflow analysis and acoustic engineering, electrical design to system integration are just some of the capabilities of ASE.
ASE has a full range of modern computer aided design tools and the staff to utilize them. All designs make uses of up-to-date CAD (computer aided design). Structural design makes extensive use of FEA (finite element analysis). We utilized CFD (computational fluid dynamics) for airflow and flow visualization design. Three dimensional video graphics allows us to model and demonstrate engine handling and machine motions. We make extensive use of software design and analysis tools to ensure efficient, error free code. And, ASE has designed its own proprietary design software for predicting acoustic and airflow through a multidimensional test cell model.
ASE maintains a full-time staff of project managers and site construction managers. Using our extensive internal MIS system and commercial project scheduling programs provide the project manager with up-to-date detailed information on the financial and schedule status, our project managers will keep your project on-time and on-budget. All our project managers are experienced in multi-element international projects from performance bonds to a network of international contractors.
ASE maintains a manufacturing facility and staff for exclusive support of our products. We do not schedule our machine shop or assembly out to third party work jeopardizing your scheduled test cell work. We maintain a full range of machining capability and an experienced machining staff, including milling, drilling, turning, CNC and EDM. Our assembly technicians are all experienced in aircraft assembly and maintenance techniques, most of them with A&P licenses. And, ASE maintains and qualifies an extensive network of local specialty manufacturing capability for large or specialized manufacturing needs.
ASE maintains a varied arsenal of communication capabilities to keep in touch with our customers, anywhere in the world. Direct-line telephone extensions, voice messaging, automatic memory fax machines all serve to be available to you. Advancing communications technology, we also maintain ISDN e-mail, video conferencing, and direct modem diagnostics with customer data systems.
ASE’s in-house capabilities include the ability to build and test subscale models of test cell solutions at our FluiDyne Aerotest Laboratory. Our laboratory can provide a wide range of air flows and data acquisition equipment to thoroughly evaluate a potential test cell configuration during the design process. The test cell’s air flow and acoustic characteristics can be modeled using an appropriate engine simulation. Test models can be constructed to evaluate different configurations of intake, thrust stand, and exhaust configurations using modular construction techniques.
